Alto Tajo and Serranía de Cuenca Natural Parks

With a contiguous area of 180,000 hectares, they represent one of the most important protected landscapes in Spain and Europe.

These parks contain the headwaters of rivers such as the Tajo and the Jucar, spectacular river canyons, mountain lagoons, a great variety of forest and grassland environments, as well as an abundance of wildlife, and a unique cultural heritage.

Our Mission

We work to ensure that the Alto Tajo and Serranía de Cuenca natural parks act as one of the best managed protected landscapes in Spain, fulfilling their objectives of nature conservation, public use, and local development.

The Support Alto Tajo and Serranía de Cuenca Parks initiative is part of the Our Protected Areas program, coordinated by Europarc-Spain.

We believe in the collaboration between governments, local groups, NGOs and businesses as a fundamental principle to achieve the optimal functioning of our protected areas.
